Celebrity Resorts was founded in 2003 as a regional timeshare company, but quickly began making waves in the timeshare industry. That year, the company acquired the majority of the timeshare assets of Leisure Industries, a NYSE publicly traded company. Included within those assets were seven properties located in five states. Adding even greater vacation options, in 2005 Celebrity Resorts entered a partnership with Resort Condominiums International. This relationship expanded the company's resort system to more than 5,000 resorts worldwide. Additional strategic business alliances have also attributed to Celebrity Resorts success in the timeshare industry. Companies such as Concord Servicing Corporation, American Momentum Bank, the American Resort Development Association (ARDA), Orbitz and Expedia have provided the necessary support to aid Celebrity Resorts' growth, creating mutually beneficial relationships. Furthermore, Celebrity Resorts takes great pride in and supports the growth and betterment of the communities in which the company impacts. In fact, community service is viewed as a vital part of Celebrity Resorts' culture.
